FUN COVER ENSEMBLES - TEACHING ADULTS UKULELE

We share what we know about ukulele. Teaching ensemble (parts) in ukulele groups gives motivated players a chance to challenge themselves and learn new skills. We choose a popular cover song so participants are not learning a melody line cold. Then, we arrange the song into parts that fit together like a jig-saw. It is quite a learning curve but it's fun and so satisfying once it's learnt.

HUB CHOIR 

The Jazzuleles believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of music. Our hub choir is a workshop experience for singers of any level, where you can learn, participate and celebrate music with others. We promise to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for you to explore the happy songs of ukulele and immerse yourself in an experience that is fun and memorable.

Our classes are designed to make learning the ukulele accessible and fun. With years of combined experience in teaching music to children, we can help even the most hesitant learner make progress in no time. The Jazzuleles teach ukulele for positive social  emotional and mental health. The Js support cancer research, cancer fundraising & the Couch Wellness Centre, Cairns local community cancer hub.

ROVING MINSTRELS

The Js  love sharing a happy vibe through ukulele music. Serenading passers-by at events, markets, art exhibitions & festivals is something they love to do. Book us if you want to add a relaxed island vibe

SONGWRITING WORKSHOPS

Writing songs is a form of self expression that can be challenging but also cathartic and rewarding. Shirley-Ann is an award winning songwriter and offers an easy method to song creation on ukulele in her 1-1.5hr workshops.

TRAVELLING UKULELE FESTIVALS - SKILL BUILDING IN REGIONAL TOWNS

The Jazzuleles BRING a festival to YOU in our two pop-up event shows; TUF & The Jazzuleles Uketorium. The model is built on celebration, collaboration & community and works best when local ukulele groups partner with The Js to host an event. The Jazzuleles have been performing regularly since 2019 at local cafes, restaurants, council events, and festivals in Australia and Overseas. With a wide variety of songs, stories, and sweet, sweet sounds, The Jazzuleles can offer a unique and entertaining musical experience that enhances any venue or event. Our passion for ukulele music shines through every performance, and we are committed to bringing joy and great music to every audience.

 

UKULELE WORKSHOP PROGRAM

The Js aim to build confidence, skill and inspiration in all ukulele players. Dynamic Strumming, Swing,  Gypsy Jazz & Reggae are their most popular intermediate & advanced workshops. Beginners quickly get up to speed with an easy jump-start & play workshop.
